Dr Sacha Obaid MD - Plastic Surgeon Texas
DR SACHA OBAID MD
North Texas Plastic Surgery was founded in Southlake and Plano, Texas by Dr. Sacha Obaid. Before he was a well-respected and experienced plastic surgeon, Dr. Obaid grew up in sunny Southern California, where he was a star water polo player and swimmer.
FOLLOWING A DREAM
This dream of helping children took him to New York City, where Dr. Obaid trained in craniofacial surgery at the prestigious New York University Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. There Dr. Obaid learned how to reconstruct the faces of children born with cleft lip, cleft palate, craniosynostosis, and other major deformations of the bones and soft tissues of the face.
It was also at NYU’s Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery that Dr. Obaid realized that the only way to truly understand the face and how to rejuvenate it is to understand how to take it apart and rebuild it from its most basic elements.
WHERE IS HE NOW?
Dr. Obaid quickly developed a local, national, and international reputation for his work and skill. He has been asked to write educational texts on rhinoplasty, non-operative facial rejuvenation, abdominoplasty, thigh lifts, mandible reconstruction, pediatric facial reconstruction, and more. Check out a list of his publications below!..
He has also had the honor of speaking in front of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate Association, and more, traveling from Texas to other hubs of plastic surgery like Brazil. Read on for more information about the presentations he’s given.Dr. Obaid lives in Westlake with his wife, Dr. Deborah Larrison–Obaid, who is a board-certified Head and Neck Surgery Specialist. They have six children (five girls and one boy) named Gaviana, Liliya, Alaire-Jolie, Lyra-Rose, Solene Bleu and Sacha Croix–James Obaid.
Dr. Obaid’s skills in reconstructing and rejuvenating the face and body, along with his unique training from Harvard, UT Southwestern, and NYU, are an asset to his patients in Southlake, Plano, and the surrounding areas.
In addition to being board-certified, compassionate, and caring, Dr. Obaid’s techniques are advanced. He has embraced breast augmentation with fat transfer and technologies like Crisalix 3D simulation and 3D virtual reality that allow patients to have an astoundingly realistic image of their results before they step into surgery.
EDUCATION
An excellent student, Dr. Obaid was given entrance to the prestigious BA/MD program at the University of Southern California, an honor that guaranteed him acceptance to medical school despite being 17 years old and still in high school!
Dr. Obaid went on to college at the University of Southern California, where he was captain of the men’s crew team. He also excelled in the classroom, fulfilling his pre-medical coursework while completing a degree in Economics, Communications and Social Science in just three years!
Dr. Obaid was only 20 years old when he was accepted into Harvard Medical School. It was there that his interest in plastic surgery flourished. Dr. Obaid studied under the masters of plastic surgery at Harvard. He was not only an outstanding student but was also asked to lead breast reconstruction research that was eventually published in the premier plastic surgery journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS).
Dr. Obaid finished at the top of his class at Harvard and then moved to Dallas, where he trained in the country’s top plastic surgery program at the University of Texas Southwestern. There he developed his skills in cosmetic surgery, studying the finer points of breast augmentation, facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, and liposuction. He also reconnected with a lifelong dream of helping children with facial differences.
